NIYU enhances core competences and establishes a new event production group

Berlin, 28th September 2021 –  The Berlin-based planning experts for media and visualization solutions for events and immersive installations are expanding their operational activities and range of services in the NIYU event production group. The existing departments of engineering and consulting with unique expertise in specialized design of media technology, acoustics and lighting for installations and temporary projects will be joined by new core competences: creation, productions and sustainability.

With the new line-up, NIYU is reacting to changing market requirements and, above all, to international enquiries. “Events have become like copies, driven to extremes by conformity. With this background, it is our mission to continuously enhance the status quo and set new standards for events,” says Nikolai Hocke, owner of the group. Owner Thomas Hofmann adds: “The way brands conceive and implement live commuication today has changed significantly – driven by technological developments and the increasing fragmentation of communication. Formats must therefore develop more extraordinary images in order to create convincing positions and set clear punchlines.”

 In addition to the two owners, the management team of the newly established event production group under the NIYU brand with its new logo consists of long-time employees and an experienced new member. Fabio Stein, for example, is heading the engineering division as COO since 2019 and worked as senior project manager in the company since 2014. Jonas Krapf, with NIYU since 2019, is continuously building up the new and holistic sustainability competence department as Sustainability Officer. Mike Doerfling recently joind the team as New Business Development Manager for the second new department of international event productions. He has long-term experience and was responsible for large budget productions in the automotive and telecommunications industry in various companies such as CT Germany and POOLgroup.

 In addition to consulting and creation, Nikolai Hocke and Thomas Hofmann, as owners of NIYU, will be more involved in innovations and new developments, cooperation between the individual units and strategic event development. They will also continue to work closely with the individual divisions, manage their own mandates and be involved in selected projects. The first projects after the reorganization have already been successfully completed. For example, NIYU event production group was active in the field of productions for Hyundai at the IAA in Munich and in engineering for Cariad. Likewise, engineering planned a new film & TV studio for BMW, and for the ‘Heitere Festival’ in Zofingen (CH), the creation division developed an interactive digital TV format.
